Double victory at BAMM
18/8-2012 Team Silva had a great double victory at the BAMM, Björkliden Arctic Mountain Marathon, this weekend.
Björn and Micke took their 3rd victory in the male category and Jossa won the mixed category together with Jonas Westling, IKSU Multisport.
BAMM is a two day Mountain marathon with a mandatory nightcamp in the middle. All equipment needed for the race and the nightcamp (cloths, sleepingbag, tent, food...) is carried by the teams. Around 350 teams entered the BAMM this year.
The racecourse covered 72 km (birdsway) and more than 5200 m of altitude. Micke and Björn had a winning time of 11h 57 minutes, 57 minutes ahead of Glommershus (2nd) and brittish London/Edale Fellrunners (3rd).
Jossa and Jonas winning time in the mixed category would have placed them as 8th team in the male category!
