Finally Winter

Finally winter also in the coast area.

After Christmas we went back home to green grass and stirling rain. I couldn´t stand it for long and went west for the weekend to Storuman for some cross country skiing. After that I was at home for 24 hours and then I had to go back to the snow and mountains again!

This time I went to Åre for some skimo training with Martina.

When I got back to Umeå, finally the snow and some cold degrees arrived!

It will take a while to get used to the cold and to put enough clothings on. But who cares, it´s so beautiful and wonderful!

I really hope that 2014 wíll be better year then 2013 ended.

: Out running close to the open sea

Since I came home from Costa Rica I have been taken it really easy with the training for some weeks. But I asked the doctor how found that my arm was broke if I could skii with only one pole and it was okej as long as I didn´t fall. It was only one problem, there was no snow. Even though I live pretty far up north in Sweden.

But you could find really good ice on the river and lakes!

When I celibrated Christmas home with my family in the mountains where I grow up I had some great time on my skiis even though I only could use one arm.

Back on track!

Now I looking forward too a new year and a new season with new oportunities. The skiing sesaong has already started but I hope I can catch up and do some races in the end of the seson and that I will be in good shape again when the adventure racing starts in the spring

Biking in Chonqing

We arrived early in the morning, 7am Chineese time. After about 3 hours ride in car we arrived at the hotel where we will stay the week. We had some lunch, assembled the bikes and went our for a ride. Below you find a few shots from the trip. We followed the asphalt road about 700 altimeters up.

In the middle of nowhere we found these stairs and if you look carefully you see a basket ball plan in the middle of the photo.

Tomorrow we will take it quite easy. The weather forecast say it will be heavy rain… Hopefully we can go for a short run to check out the surroundings.

Kebnekaise Classic

This weekend the last skimountenering competition in Sweden for the season was held in Kebnekaise, a pair race over two days.

Josefina raced together with former teammate Martina Höök. The original race course covered at least 2700 m of altitude each day and also the highest peak of Sweden, but the strong wind stopped that.

The first day, the racecourse went over Kebnetjokka down on isfallsglaciären and bit behind Tarfala. Martina and Jossa were close together with another female team and arrived to the finish as 2nd team, 1 second behind.

On saturday the wind made the course close to the station but still with via ferrata and rappels. Jossa and Martina had high speed from the beginning and came away from the other team directly at the start and crossed the finish line as winners of Kebnekaise Classic 2013.

Lo was happy to run in the amazing weather, I was happy about the weather but I am sad that I could’t run or skii. I still got a cold :'(
