Expedition Africa – Fighting for position!

Team Haglöfs Silva started out strong in Expedition Africa. Taking the lead together with Raidlight after the first big climb up to Tugela Falls. But then the team made a decision and took the longer route to TA1 – which turned out to be slower than the technical shortcut three local teams took. Team Merrell, Cyonosis and Red Ant all overtook Team Haglöfs Silva with 30 minutes. With Raidlight taking off early in the transition and THS making a longer one they ended up in fifth place. Adding to the frustration the team made some minor errors and had to turn back for a map, loosing even more time.

That will not keep THS down! They started to fight their way right back in the game making a great MTB-leg and started the paddle out in front of Red Ant – and all of a sudden they had taken back third place. Raidlight lost the first place during the paddle and Cyonosis took the lead after a good portage of the kayaks at the dam. THS caught up Raidlight and took second place, with Cyonosis in sight!

The night has been superexciting, and tuesday will not be anything less.

Fits to send a message to the incredible effort to pick up the lead that arose. Is just as usual ie this team never gives up until the finish line is passed. Continue good luck and keeps stuff in order to keep together all way into the goal!!
