After 36 hours and 35 minutes of racing, team Haglöfs Silva reached the finishline in Altay, China, in 3rd place under a heavy rainfall.
Team Haglöfs Silva was, together with team Redbull and Thule Adventure team in front of the race all the way from the start. During the last bike leg, navigating in the dark, team Redbull made a navigation error and lost the race. From that point, team Haglöfs Silva was alone in the lead, ahead of Thule. Unfortunately, they made a crucial mistake 40 km before finish, navigating the wrong way and got passed by Thule and Adventure Medical Kit (USA) who managed to stay ahead all the way to finish line. A podium finish in this field is a strong achievement, but it could have been even better…

Congratulations Mattias, Robert, Aaron and Marika to an unbelieable race from my point of view sitting behind the computer and following the GPS tracking with “good weather”. It was completely marvolus following you and the team this time. Difficult when sitting beside to see the different hardships during the race which I feel has been there!
