Baise Outdoor Quest starting Tomorrow!

After a long and partly snowy winter it is finally time to put on the adventure racing bibs again. Tomorrow morning at 9 am (3 am CET) Mattias and Robert will start their first Adventure Race for season 2016, Baise Outdoor Quest in China.

The Baise Outdoor Quest consists of 4 day stages with a total of 300 km. Baise is in the Guangxi province, approximately 250 km north-west of Nanning. The stages contains mountainbiking, running, kayaking, abseiling and swimming. The race is in a mountainous area and several of the stages contains thousands of meters to climb by running or biking. Mattias and Robert will race together with Jari Palonen (Sweden) and Corrinne Smith (New Zealand).

The team got some extra, unwanted, challenges before the start, as Corrinnes bike was lost somewhere between Sydney and Shanghai… Unless the bike pop up at last minute, the team will have to share the hard work of riding a pretty simple and heavy old 26” mtb that they have found for rent in Baise…

Teams will carry a GPS tracker, hopefully the race can be followed online at: http://web.gps9988.com:8080/appsV4/carsUserMgr/Index.jsp?lang=cn&host=http://gps9988.com:8088/gpsry/

Fingers crossed that they find Corrinnes bike and for 4 days of successful racing!
