After a summer with really successful racing in Sweden, it is time again for big races abroad. Next on the calender is the Wulong Mountain Quest in China, close to the city Chongquing. The Wulong Mountain Quest is a 4 day stage race for mixed teams of four. Each day is a 5-7 hour stage of mountainbiking, running, kayaking and rope works. The terrain is superhilly and the wether forecast shows 30-35 degrees celcius and a high humidity!
The competition is supertough, with many strong teams fighting for big pricemoney on a challenging course, including french superstars Jacky and Mimi (former Thule), 2-3 superstar NZ teams and many more. Team Haglöfs Silva will be represented by Josefina, Mattias, Robert and Scott Cole, who joined the team for this race as neither Aaron nor Björn had the opportunity to go. Last year the team managed to take 3rd place in the overall standing and the team will do their best for a strong finish also this year.
The team arrived to Chongquing today, after more than 24 hours of travelling. Tomorrow is registration and gear check and the first stage of the race is on saturday. We will try put up photos and reports from the race daily, if possible.
